Well after much research and thought, I went ahead and ordered my FFR complete kit. My original plan was to order my kit at the end of February, but then FFR released their 15 year anniversary limited edition (http://www.factoryfive.com/whatsnew.html) that includes many of the options that I was going to have to order (rear end, disc brakes, silver powder coating frame,High-end Koni 3012 double-adjustable aluminum body coil-over shocks, etc. etc.). Sure I could have ordered the lesser complete kit and ordered these parts as one off’s which would have been just fine, but how often can you purchase a limited edition Cobra replica? For me at least once!
A few weeks ago, I met a new found friend Dave who built his FFR in 2006-08 and spent a few hours learning and talking about his build. That was really cool and got me even more excited to get this car in the garage and start my own personal build. Dave sold me his body buck that he used on his car and it is now safe in its new home waiting for a new MKIV body.
Only 14 more days until the build school – I will report on the progress in a couple weeks and hopefully a delivery date on my FFR kit.
